There are no Ebola cases in Dane County or Wisconsin, and the risk of Ebola remains low. Public Health Madison-Dane County and our partner organizations are working together to make sure Dane County is prepared in the event Ebola arrives in our community.

Temperatures are dropping and the homeless in Dane County need a place to go to stay warm, and a county-planned day resource center that was supposed to be up and running by Saturday isn't close to opening. The county planned to renovate the Porchlight Hospitality House on Martin Street in the Town of Madison, but the town disputes the area is properly zoned for the facility and now the matter is now tied up in court.

A self-purported drug counselor who operates a "sober living house" in Dane County has been arrested after police said he allowed rampant drug use at the home, the Wisconsin State Journal reported Friday. Mark D. Clark, 53, who runs the Wisconsin Christian Recovery Network in the Town of Vienna, collected rents from residents of the home, who were either referred or placed there, according to a story posted on the newspaper's website.

The Wisconsin Department of Transportation says construction is complete along a nine-mile stretch of Highway 73 in Dane County. The D.O.T. started working on the highway in April, from Interstate 39/90 going north to US 12/18 near Cambridge and Deerfield.

As expected, the state Justice Department has appealed a Madison judge's order that two training videos for prosecutors be released to state Democrats. The party says it's looking for inappropriate remarks it believes were made by Republican attorney general candidate Brad Schimel, in his role as the Waukesha County D.A. The Justice Department said it cannot find 3 videos in question.

Two women who police say tried to revive a man who had overdosed on heroin have been charged in his death in Dane County. Prosecutors say one of the women is the victim's cousin.

Two Dane County men are charged with bank robbery while armed. A federal grand jury indicted 48-year-old Peter Meeker, of Middleton, and 28-year-old Karl Kreier, of Madison, Wednesday.
