Madison police say an off-duty officer saw gunfire exchanged between cars on Gammon Road in Madison Monday night. The cars were going north on Gammon toward Colony Drive, which is just north of Memorial High School.

Slippery roads may be to blame for a crash that killed a Dane County man on Friday morning. Madison police say the man in his seventies was driving towards Madison on Highway 151 around 7 a.m. when he lost control on the bridge over American Parkway.

Madison police spokesman Joel DeSpain says a man was checking his SUV for damage after he fishtailed and slid into a concrete barrier, when he was struck and killed by a pickup truck that slid on the same ice. It happened about 7 a.m. Friday on a bridge on Highway 151.

MADISON, WI Madison native Paul Chryst is in line to become the next head football coach at his alma mater of Wisconsin. That's according to the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, which said that U-W athletic director Barry Alvarez was able to meet with Chryst when the two were in Florida yesterday.

A Madison woman was struck by a tow truck as she was in the cross walk near the intersection of N. Allen Street and Kendall Avenue. The incident happened shortly before 5:00 Wednesday afternoon.
