A Wisconsin man has been arrested for allegedly urinating on a marked Madison Police Department squad car. A police statement says officers observed the 21-year-old Dodgeville man relieving himself on the squad car late Saturday night near a bar on State Street in downtown Madison.

Emergency dispatchers received the call around 2:45 a.m. The incident happened on the 1800 block of Axel Avenue, just south of the beltline, near the Verona Road exit. Police have determined more than one car was involved that left the scene before they arrived.

The Animal Legal Defense Fund has filed a lawsuit against the University of WisconsinMadison over what the group claims is lack of transparency regarding its planned testing of baby primates. Kelsey Eberly is a litigation fellow with ALDF, and she says many believe the taxpayer-funded research is archaic and unnecessary.

An 18-year-old Madison man was arrested after Madison police officers Saturday night found his car partly submerged in Starkweather Creek. Shortly after 10 p.m. Saturday, Madison police officers responded to a report of a vehicle that had gone off the road and crashed into Starkweather Creek in the 300 block of Clyde Gallagher Ave. Police checked the registration and went to the address of the registered owner, an 18-year-old man who appeared to be drunk.

Not likely his best idea ever, but a 21-year Dodgeville man was caught urinating on a Madison Police car right in the middle of State Street. Chase Martin was arrested shortly before midnight Saturday after several officers observed him urinating on the squad car parked outside City Bar on the 600-block of State.
