State transportation officials say a memorial to a woman killed by a drunken driver can stay in place along a Dane County highway until June. Last month, the Department of Transportation ordered the family of Maureen Mengelt to remove the plaque along Highway 19 because of a single complaint, citing DOT policy.

An incident outside a strip club Tuesday morning was a fight over a drug debt that escalated when one of the men took out a gun, according to a release from the Dane County Sheriff's Office. Deputies identified the men Friday.

A former member of the commission that oversees the ethics code for the judiciary said Thursday he had filed a complaint against a Dane County judge over his handling of a voter ID case. Dane County Circuit Judge Richard Niess this fall stepped aside from the case rather than dismissing it, as ordered by the state Supreme Court.

A woman suffered serious, but non-life threatening injuries when her car collided with a semi overnight, according to the Winnebago County Sheriff's Office. Investigators say the semi driver took a wrong turn and was going the wrong way on an off ramp when the collision took place just before midnight on Highway 10 near Menasha.
