Dec. 01--Cameron Parker, the former Jesuit High standout who nows plays at the college level for Sacred Heart, set an NCAA record for assists in a game with 24 dimes in a rout of Division III Pine Manor on Sunday, 101-57.
That tally puts Parker in some elite company as he breaks the previous record of 22 assists in a game that was held by four players, who will now all share a four-way tie for second most assists in a game -- Trae Young of Oklahoma, Sherman Douglas of Syracuse, Tony Fairley of Charleston Southern and Avery Johnson of Southern University.
Parker was a three-year starter at Jesuit High School and won an Oregon state championship with the Crusaders as a sophomore. The Beaverton native was also honored as a First Team All-State selection at the Class 6A level and voted Metro League Player of the Year in 2017, his senior season.
