Week 6 FanDuel Picks: NFL DFS lineup advice for daily fantasy football GPP tournaments

Sporting News — customerservice@sportingnews.com (Sporting News)

It truly is a weird year when stacking Jaguars and Dolphins in our Week 6 FanDuel GPP lineup feels like a good idea, but it does. It's all about finding value picks in favorable matchups to hit big and win an NFL DFS tournament, so Gardner Minshew, Myles Gaskin and company get us off to a good start there.

The extreme value plays also allow us to pack our lineup with three studs in Davante Adams, Calvin Ridley and Derrick Henry. This approach consistently draws us in because of the high floor it creates for any lineup. Those stars will do their thing and put you in range of a big day, so you only need a few of the value picks to work out to really roll in the money.

FanDuel Picks Week 6: NFL DFS lineup for GPPs

QB Gardner Minshew, Jaguars vs. Lions ($7,200)

The Lions have been about league average against the pass in 2020 (although league average is nothing to write home about with so much passing going on). Minshew just remains a little underpriced most weeks, and that's the case again here. The few hundred bucks in savings we get here helps us stack our lineup with some real superstars.

RB Myles Gaskin, Dolphins vs. Jets ($5,700)

The Jets are really, really bad. Gaskin has become the Miami backfield workhorse (Jordan Howard was even inactive in Week 5), and he should have plenty of running room from beginning to end in Week 6.

WEEK 6 DFS CASH LINEUPS: FanDuel | DraftKings

RB Antonio Gibson, Washington @ Giants ($5,800)

It took a few weeks, but it's safe to count on Gibson in the Washington backfield at this point, at least in favorable matchups. Gibson is relatively game-flow proof, which is nice in a matchup of terrible teams. He can run out the clock with a lead or catch passes to mount a comeback.

WR Laviska Shenault Jr., Jaguars vs. Lions ($5,800)

The more obvious Minshew stack is DJ Chark (ankle), who just can't seem to stay healthy right now. Shenault feels like a good compromise, as Jacksonville continues to give him targets and rushes. He's due for his first real big NFL game, and the Lions aren't likely to stop it if this is the week.

WEEK 6 DFS GPP LINEUPS: DraftKings

WR Davante Adams, Packers @ Buccaneers ($9,000)

Green Bay's bye seems to have helped Adams, as he's likely to return from his hamstring injury in time for a marquee matchup. Aaron Rodgers should go right back to peppering Adams with double-digit targets, and if others are scared away by his price or hamstring problems, we can take all the more advantage.

WR Calvin Ridley, Falcons @ Vikings ($8,600)

Whether Julio Jones (hamstring) makes an unexpected return to the field or not, Ridley should terrorize what has turned out to be a very bad Minnesota defense. They've allowed the fourth-most FD points to wide receivers in 2020, and the Falcons could even see a little boost from the firing of Dan Quinn, too.

WEEK 6 PPR RANKINGS:
Quarterback | Running back | Wide receiverTight end | D/ST | Kicker

TE Irv Smith Jr., Vikings vs. Falcons ($4,300)

Coming off his best game of the season, Smith gets a great matchup to follow up and try to prove himself a consistent performer. The Falcons have allowed the second-most fantasy points this season to TEs (including seven touchdowns), so Smith is worth using at his cheap price.

FLEX (RB) Derrick Henry, Titans vs. Texans ($9,000)

Henry is dominant against anyone, and there's no reason to get cute in this flex spot after finding some value elsewhere. He gives any DFS lineup a great floor every week, and if you want a statistical selling point, the Texans have allowed the most rushing yards in the league to running backs.

WEEK 6 STANDARD RANKINGS:
Quarterback | Running back | Wide receiver | Tight end | D/ST | Kicker

DEF Miami Dolphins vs. Jets ($4,400)

Sam Darnold, Joe Flacco -- it doesn't matter. Le'Veon Bell is out of town to help the cause even a little more. Miami is fairly priced on FD and not as cheap as their extreme DK value, but we still feel good about using them in such a favorable matchup.
